​Sometimes we need a little redemption
Fresh start, reset, renew
Acknowledge we are inherently better
More than what we mistakenly think, say or do

A core of truth and goodness within us
Veered off at times from our very best path
Regain footing, restore balance of emotion
Periodically we all need a healing bath

If unsettled, allow feeling to propel you
Explore cause of your inner dismay
A chance to let go of any loathing
We all can be cleansed in this way

When troubled, think beyond immediate situation
Get out of head, big picture comes into view
Accept you have imperfection and limitation
Nothing wrong with taking time to ponder and stew

Turn things over to something much bigger
You don’t have to solve every problem or always be right
Release ego, cede need to control all situations
Find peace of mind, sleep better at night

New day, new chance to start over
Make something good happen as much as you can
When failing, learn and grow from the lessons
Strive on to be a better human, woman or man
