Some things in life have appeal We don’t always have to agree Depending on our own inner zeal Things that bring me joy May seem mundane to you Your love me may annoy Try another perspective sometimes too Appreciate the viewpoint of others See the world occasionally as they do Find the reasons, the truths, the meaning New understanding may come into view Share what you find attractive Explain what makes it so great Give others a chance to know beauty Common ground before its too late Hold fast when you know truth is clear Let go when your views are just wrong Be open to the way others see things Expand horizons, gain knowledge, release fear Allow others to have own opinions Don’t impose, control and berate We take our own meaning in life Free thinking sometimes breeds hate A tension may come between us Things that we just can’t reconcile Our core values may come in conflict My truth to you could seem vile We must let others go their own way Free them to live as they choose As long as they aren’t harming others Some lines and boundaries must stay Clear wrongs, bad actions and malice Stand up when you know things are not right Don’t passively accept cruel intent At times you will need to fight Try hard to uproot source of the anger Work to find more productive solutions Healing the pain of others Help rid the world of mental pollution See beauty where others tend to see it Share your perspective as you get older The key to solving our problems Understand the eye of the beholder Comments are closed.
