Community

I live in a great community,
it shows its support where is has to be.
Celebrates success,
helps out when things are a mess.
Various small circles make up the whole,
gyms, churches, work places and schools.
Different people in each,
I’m part of them all.
When we all come together its unbelievably cool.
Like yesterday at the basketball game,
all clad in green, our fans were not tame.
The girls won the state title for the first time,
they worked very hard and the result was so fine.
Shared joy with our family, neighbors and friends,
sometimes things come together just right in the end.
Great meaning in life comes in these times,
appreciate the moment, look out for the signs.
Notice the circles around yourself,
the people you share time with in all that you do.
Make most of these chances to live life in full,
share bonds and foundations, build bridges not walls.
