Whether groomed or wild
In fields and meadows
Parks, landscapes styled
Near rivers and mountains
Streams, ponds and deserts
Irrigation fed or rainfall
Natural springs and fountains
A nice surface to play on
Good feed for cattle
In farmland or urban
Pastures and lawns
Divided by fences
In cities and towns
Expansive and free
Countryside wilderness
With bushes and trees
Always green
In this shade or another
Not greener there
On one side or other
Overlooked and so common
Unnoticed it goes
Yet its beauty inherent
With wind it will flow
Take care of your own
On this side of the wall
Offer help to your neighbors
Without it we fall
