Through direct experience and others
It has taught me this way
Not a sage or a guru
Why listen to me?
I express thoughts and feelings
Contemplate you will see
Living through action
Combined with some thought
Not looking for reaction
Just spreading what I’m taught
Reading and studying
The wisdom of others
Through history and current
Sharing love with another
Desire to help, relieving some stress
Promotion of happiness
Not trying to impress
Words convey meaning
With rhyme they conduct
A sense of some feeling
Some care in the construct
Brief and efficient
A way to break through
Touch the heart if of value
Creative self expression too
So read if you will
Take to heart if you choose
A kindred to love you
Nothing to win or lose
