Economic engine or healing field?
Business big, moving parts around,
true care missing at times, we all have found.
Tethered to my computer screen,
remembering all I have heard and seen.
I need a scribe to document it all,
free me to connect, explore, forestall.
Relieve illness, suffering and death,
promote health, wellness, be your best.
External drivers don’t understand,
pressure, expectation and demand.
Increasing agenda overload,
was this the goal, the path, the road?
That I chose when I studied hard,
to be my best, fulfill potential,
use skill and brain, make difference essential.
So many hands trying to steer the ship,
interfering with our relationship.
A healing one it has to be,
trust built between you and me.
Information glut to navigate,
understanding best how to relate.
Guiding, advising, educating and more,
building a team, keeping score.
Quality metrics to worry about,
constant undermining of your clout.
Learning always along the way,
looking forward to a new day.
When things will be a bit better still,
keep up drive to help, maintain the will.
Fight through stress and strain, discouragement,
mentor, teach, give encouragement.
Promote healing to the next generation,
share what you have learned, set high expectation.
For what we can be when we get it right,
compassion, guidance, informed insight.
Working together for better health,
not greed, money love or personal wealth.
We need more idealists, artists, creatives,
healers at heart, scientific natives.
Egalitarian in their understanding,
this is what our world is demanding.
Humanitarians in word and deed,
Medicine has potential to fill the need.
Take back the reigns, regain control,
the management that business interest stole.
The only way we all can win,
make our healing art legitimate again.
