Fresh Insight

On Love

2/14/2019

Venus dear, where have you gone?
I miss you so very much
The moon is here to comfort me
Not the same as your gentle touch

We shared some times, so intimate
Appreciating each others beauty
I know you had to move on
Fulfilling other duties

Perhaps you will come again
I await your next arrival
Look forward to any time together
I count on true love and survival

We cannot own or possess each other
Paths may cross at unexpected times
Making the most of when they do
Commemorating such with silly rhymes

Romantic love can be a fickle thing
Enduring love another matter
Rolling through the ups and downs
Mutual respect more than idle chatter

Venus has her natural freedom
It was never mine to take
Choosing when to come together
Our own choices only can we make

Maintain the spark, be kind, sincere
Laugh, cry, find space for elegance
Appreciate little things your partner does
In enduring love, keep up romance
