Robins

​The robins were flying about today 
Taking a break on the lawn
Looking for a morsel to feed them
If they could talk what would they say?

Spring in the air, they sense it
Unaware of our problems right now
Orange breasted and free
The climate has changed somehow

I wish them well in their quest
Living the life they have found
I wish us well in our endeavors
Our solutions can be more profound

Take seriously the moment before us
Steward the world that we know
Be aware of the impact we are leaving
The future is our responsibility to sow
